Avatar issues

Hey guys, I was trying to change my avatar, and an error message came up. I shrunk the picture down to the smallest option on photobucket, but it still didn't work.


What's the deal?

I got it now, but for Valkysas, here is the message...


"Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 4588227 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 600 bytes) in /home/valkysas/public_html/forum/includes/class_image.php on line 1333"

I got that same message several times last night while trying to do the same thing. Finally got around it, though.

I think the memory sat aside for avatars has been reached.

Or it could be something to do with the high amount of traffic we've been getting because of Valkysas' RPG Maker 4 feature. Or it could be because of the updates Valkysas was planning after the traffic generated from his RPG Maker 4 feature died down.

upload new avatar

so replacing the avatar leaves the old one in the database?

If I knew that I would have been deleting them long ago

replacing the avatar in your control panel uploads the new one, then deletes the old one.

the server is so stressed right now that it can't carry out that operation though.

so you have to get rid of your old one manually first.

Save it to your computer.

Try uploading from that.

Save it as a .gif?
