Ok, this doesn't really belong in the videogame forum--so feel free to move it if you want to--but it's roots are closely tied to this forum. The last post of his that I remember was in a Super Mario Galaxy topic when he said that it's not as great of a game as people make it out to be. Then everyone ganged up on him and called him "idiot fanboy", things of that nature. He said something like "Ciao" and I haven't seen him here since.

So, I was wondering if anyone else noticed this. Or if anyone cares.

Well, if it is true then it's pretty lame that he can't stand up for himself. I would have at least argued out my point of view until everyone started to ignore me then I'd treat myself to a smoothie knowing that I won an internet battle.

Hopefully he'll come back soon. Maybe he's just busy with other things but yeah I do remember him saying he was tired of every topic he posted in turning into a defense force battle.

I like Jeroak, but he really has a hard time accepting that not everything negative said towards sony is an attack on them, or him for liking them.

Of course, it didnt help that people constantly hounded him and called him a fanboy whenever he happened to post about ANYTHING in this forum.

Anyways, if I had a nickel for each time everyone ganged up on me, Id be a rich man, of course when I get too irritated I simply just stop reading the topic altogether, or if I said something that I know WILL start something I just never read any responses after that, for the simple fact that I dont wish to leave.

No it wasnt. It was a problem with a lot of people that had to be fixed (jeroak was included) but it was also to make people stop hounding and calling him a fanboy. overall, it was just meant to get rid of the stupid console war bull**** that made this forum a pain to read.

I miss the poor sap. He is a nice buy, but as mentioned before, he does get overly defensive sometimes. Though, it probably wouldn't be that bad if people didn't release the hounds everytime he doesn't see eye to eye with everyone. Honestly, everyone needs to mellow out a bit.

people have such a variety of tastes here as far as games, movies, and music goes. its not surprising that they fight for their favorite choices. with the anti fan boy policy, it seemed to knock down the amount of flames that happened. people are still calling fan boy but its much reduced.

jeroak will be back if he wants to, if not, then thats his choice. you really need a thick skin to post here.

Theres an easy way to fix that problem, dont read the Video Game forum, I dont hardly ever read it unless its something non-game related(like this), or something that asks for opinions.

I thought the whole point of a discussion forum was to discuss your opinions which includes debates and arguments. It gets really boring when every thread is:
