There is no set date yet, to my knowledge. However, the other stuff mentioned is pretty easy to find if you search for it. Though, as one would expect, it isn't all indepth.

I think the release date is April or May. It plays just like MGS3 except it's more action oriented and instead of switching camouflages you have a device that automatically blends into the environment like a chameleon.

The story takes place 5 years after MGS2 where military intervention on foreign soil is no longer a concern and the Patriots (this isn't official but I personally believe this ties into the title) leaked the Ray and Rex designs on the market so now everyone and their grandmothers has their own private army. Liquid Ocelot rebuilt Outer Heaven into a giant army that rivals the world superpowers and plans some sort of insurrection. Snake is sent by Campbell (the real one, not the Patriots clone) to assassinate Liquid.

The story seems really generic but like all MGS games it starts out simple and then the crap hits the fan. From the multiplayer betas people have played, the gameplay is spot on and combat doesn't feel clunky anymore. I've put 50 dollars in a jar per paycheck for the past year waiting for this game and when it comes out I plan on buying it, any 80gb ps3's (if there are any remaining), and a hi-def tv just for this game.

This and LittleBigPlanet. Actually, it's mostly LittleBigPlanet. MGS4 is just icing.

Actually, Ocelot sold the Rex data over the black market after the first MGS. Ray was built as a counter measure against the wide spread use of metal gears. MGS4 pretty much shows this going out of control.

I'm hoping Ocelot's personality makes a comeback since he is the (mgs3 spoiler) *** SPOILERS ***
