I'm here to tell you it sucks, and I would only do it again if I was totally desperate (which could be next week, you never know).
First off, they tell you the first time it takes two hours for all the questions and the physical. It took FIVE hours. I think they should have forked up more than $25.00 for five hours.
Then they ask really stupid questions, like "When did you start taking asprin?" Excuse me, how would I know? My mother probably gave it to me as a baby! If any of you ever donate plasma for money, do yourself a favor - don't even tell them you take asprin.
And they take a lot! The process involves drawing out the blood and plasma, separating it, and returning the red blood cells to you. They took at least a quart! And it hurts! They draw and return through the same needle and it's a REALLY big needle. To add to all that, I'm really glad I wasn't driving, because I passed out in the car on the way home. Geez.
On the upside, a friend of Phil's mom (my fiance) took us out grocery shopping, so we have food! Yay!! Which was really nice, because he hasn't seen her in, like, 20 years.
Yes, time's are tough. Thank you President Bush.
