Ever since I was like 10, I've been somewhat interested in the RPG Maker series, but ever since buying myself a used copy of The third installment, I'm finally getting hardcore and devoting myself to a game.

I'm already slightly overwhelmed by how many possibilities there are for this game and am thrilled to have a forum to join and discuss it all in. For that, I thank you, otherwise I'd be stumbling in the dark. as my copy didn't have the manual.

A little about myself... I'm 15, make a fool of myself when I try and type up introductions, have loved video games since I was about 4, enjoy Final Fantasy very much, and am slightly unpredictable. Also, I'm sorry if I ask too many questions. It's hard to set up the game properly without a manual.

You mean is the skills section? Effect points = the amount of damage inflicted by a spell or ability if it's an offensive. If it's healing, then it effects how much HP your character heals.

So then what stat affects the damage as well? I had someone with 250 EP hit a 900, so I was jsut wondering what else determines the damage.

If it's MAGIC ability(not a skill) then the MAG stat effects damage or healing.

I became really interested with RPG Maker. And since I was stumbling in the dark for the third one, I decided to see if I could seek assitance. I believe this is much better than some simple help.

I'm glad you found us! Interesting name ^_^ I just hope it don't reflect on your personality. RPGM3 is actually the easiest RPGM currently out there. Unfortunately, it is very limited because of the ease of use, but if you hunt through the forums (and talk to the cool people with RPGM, you'll find them) you'll find alot of cool stuff. So, feel free to ask anyone questions, or you can check out some of the FAQ's that have been made for this system. It's worth it.

And may I commend you on your grammar. ^_^ You get reps!

Thanks for the commendation. My name is rather hypocritical to my my personality. The name came from a name I had on an MMO. I made it after watching Robot Chicken, and since Stoopid Monkey was taken, I put a spin on it. =)
