    Turok

    I'm downloading the PS3 demo. It's 1337MB? I think?

So...instead let's discuss the series or this game.

The first Turok was cool. Than...well...the series...didn't do so well later on.

    Still love the memorable line.

    I...AM..TUROK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Re: Turok

I remember being completely disgusted with the control scheme of the first game.

And then I remember scaling a cliff, falling, turning the game off and never playing it again.

      Re: Turok

I think Turok might have been the first FPS I'd ever played. Keeping in mind the N64 only had one analogue stick, I thought the control scheme worked just fine (keeping in mind, again, that it was the first FPS I'd played). I got used to aiming with the stick and moving with the C buttons, so much so that when I played 007 at a store kiosk (I never bought it for myself), I had a lot of difficulty with the control scheme. Meh. I liked the game. Turok 2 was even better, as there was 4 player split screen multiplayer, and (as I had few friends into video games at the time) I was able to play with bots.

Don't think I ever solved either game, but I had fun with them. And yeah...after the N64 era, I had no interest in playing another Turok game.

Turok 2 had some of the best and most brutal weapons ever. The Cerebral Bore... Too bad the level design was beyond confusing.

Is the demo available on Live yet?

I loved just goofing around in the first Turok. I would pretend I was hunting the dinos in the jungle.

Wait...I thought that's what you were SUPPOSED to be doing in Turok.

                  Re: Turok

Ive got Turok:Evolution for my PS2. Really loooooooong game. Gets pretty boring at some parts, but other are really cool like the pterodactyl flying parts where it becomes like Ace Combat are your flying around shooting ships down, and attacking forts. You could also sever individual limbs by shooting at them which was cool, and the little walking spider robot that could release poison gas was cool. The triple barrel chain gun was pretty ridiculous and awsome. Only thing that REALLY made me mad was that the ultimate Nuke weapon only had 3 shots for the entire game. Even after you beat the game and got the unlimited ammo cheat and all weapons cheat, you still only got 3 shots for the nuke and you could only get them at the end of one level late in the game.

                    Re: Turok

i played the original Turok as a rental with the N64 rented too. and of course those idiots dont rent out memory cards... So i had to play through the entire game without stopping or saving.
