    show your wiki-town!

I know this is stupid, but I thought it'd be kinda fun. If your hometown is in Wikipedia, show me! I live in Palatine, home of the Brown's Chicken Massacre.

    where I grew up...

The pic is about 5 minutes from my place. The new condo complex in the background reminds me of the Drummonds.

Yeah I think this is pretty interesting Kire, I think its pretty neat to read about other peoples towns

      Where I live now
      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shenandoah%2C_Virginia

      Where I grew up
      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norfolk%2C_Virginia

Big changes when I moved(compare the size of the two wiki articles)

Shenandoah just doubled its size by a friendly boundary line adjustment so the wiki article isnt completely accurate.

Apparently Rosie O'Donnel, Mick Foley, Kevin James and Melissa Joan Hart are all from my town. Well Mick Foley I knew about.

Nobody famous will ever cop to having been or seen Clovis, CA, however it shares a border with Fresno which is regularly made fun of in CA-based sitcoms.

Fun Facts: Known as "The Gateway to the Sierras" since 1912, most of the beer-swilling lumberjacks of the time didn't know Sierra refers to the entire mountain range, and so needs no plural. Their knuckle-dragging progeny have enjoyed the rodeo (pronounced Ro-Dee-Oh) and Big Hat Days where pretenses toward old timey cowboys can be made and bikers can ride through the main drag with chubby leathered up sows whoopin' and hollerin'. Clovis' famed "Way of Life" was so alluring that it drove nearly everyone I knew to seek out employment and living conditions elsewhere. Locals know it as the city that's 2 hours from everywhere you want to be...mountains, beaches, and Indian Casinos.
So you're a fish out of water...
          Keep swimming.
          What else can you do?

                    Monticello, GA

The picture on Wikipedia hides how crummy the town square really looks.
In the beginning the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and is widely considered as a bad move.

                            We're a diverse bunch.

The racial makeup of the town was 93.67% White, 0.72% African American, 0.05% Native American, 3.96% Asian, 0.01% Pacific Islander, 0.74% from other races, and 0.85% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.99% of the population.
