More and more, I'm starting to think that Torayu is more of a tech demo then a game. I love the fields, but nothing in the game really seems "fun" except for looking at the pretty stuff. Quite honestly, I'd almost rather make maps. It's really my passion, and while RPGM3 is great for presenting plots, I don't know if I can really adapt them to RPGM3.
We'll see how the preview goes (if Kumo ever gets on IM xD) but I honestly think I'm going to just make a new save file and just make maps for a while. I was skeptical a while back when RD suggested "map packs" but I suppose if I make more than 10 I could simply allow people to sign up and ask for them. Of course, it'd be for new games only. (Or is there some way to transfer data between saves...?)
So be on the lookout for my mapmaking progress, I guess.

Man, Torayu is way more than just the maps. You may only have a beginning to the story so far, but it's a good beginning. The characters might not be totally fleshed out, but the game isn't finished, and again...they are a good beginning.
You know, sometimes just sitting back and coming along for a good story is exactly what I want in an RPG experience. You don't have to wow me with technical bells and whistles, and challenge me constantly. That IS a game, and I think people that have lost the ability to appreciate the value of good storytelling and production should fight hard to regain it.
