    Adjust Height

I'm wondering how do I adjust height on layout?

    Welcome to the Pavilion!

Use the L2 and R2 buttons. Please note, however, that height can only be adjusted in Fields. It doesn't work in towns or dungeons.

        Re: Adjust Height

When you are in the field layout editor, you can press the L2 and R2 buttons to raise and lower your item/event. If you do not have your event selected, you will not be able to use the short cuts. If you tap your L3 and R3 buttons (pressing the analog sticks into the controller) then it will allow you to zoom in and out to make sure you don't make them too deep.

A good tip is to keep an eye on your X-Y coordinate key in the upper right-hand corner of your layout screen. When you use the L2 and R2, I believe(could be wrong) that it shows you the depth of your item. I could be wrong though.

You have to be in the Z-Axis area of the field layout, or, more game friendly, the "V-Mode", the icon is in the upper right corner of the screen...the map will turn blue/black, then you can raise/lower the land.

And you have to be in the move command of an object or event to lower it on a field map.

Oh, yeah, okay, I see what you mean. I guess I was confused.

Sorry Hordika, I thought you were talking about raising and lowering the height of the events that you are placing in layout mode. I didn't understand that you meant you wanted to raise and lower the land itself.

To add to what JPS has already stated:

To raise and lower the land itself in the field editor.

                Select "Create Field"
On the next screen, there will be a column of choices on the right.
                Select V-Mode.
Now you will see a screen that is all blue.
Select one of the land types from the choices in the column on the right.
Move your pointer on to the blue area.
Push X to raise the land.
Push O to lower the land.
