    Question about text sounds

Hello! I'm new to these forums and come seeking help about a possibly stupid RPGM3 question.

I've been getting rather fed-up with the little beeping (well they're not like beeps, per say, but I can't think of how else to describe them) noises that play along with any text, whether it be during a storyteller or talking to an NPC. Is there a way to turn these off? It seemed to me there should be an obvious way, but if there is I've just been stupid and keep missing it.

Sorry if this has been asked before, I've looked around quite a bit and haven't found anything about it. =/ Thank you in advance!

    Nope.

Welcome to the forums, though! Hopefully your next question is one with a bit happier of an answer.

Bah, that's too bad. >< Seems like it would've been a simple thing for them to implement, too...

      Thanks for the fast reply!

Just use narrator instead of the talking ones. It is a lot better. But you will have to either add names, or put the dialogue in either left or right areas, so that it will be easy to see who is talking.

In story teller, I actually turn the characters on and off depending on who's talking. When "A" is talking, I leave "B" turned off. Then when "B" responds, I turn "B" on and simultaneously set "A" to turn off. And back and forth. This also allows for a simulated "unison" effect when BOTH are turned on at the same time. Like "Let's go!" or something. It's a little more work, but it works pretty well for me.

In regular game mode, name boxes are good enough to keep track of the discussion.
          Shalom,
