    the "hour-a-day" project club

If you want to move this to the Imaginari, that's fine too.

I'm doing something starting this year off...I have a project I've always wanted to sink my teeth into, but just never gotten around to doing. Lots of people have something like that...a book, an independant game, a short movie...something that's just too daunting and can't plan around their schedule. For me, it's been a griffin vs. cyclops fight animation that I've wanted to reanimate for years but have never gotten around to doing.

So, I'm doing this...1 hour a day. It'll be on my lunch break during the week, and in the morning on weekends. I'll try to make up for lost time if I skip a day. Does anyone else want to do this? If not, I just thought of making a blog to track my progress er something to that effect.

I'd like to do this for an RPGM game, but I find that I get nowhere unless I set aside 3-4 hours a few times a week to work on it.

I don't have any of my musical equipment any more (or at least, not with me), so that's out of the question.

As I mentioned in another post a few days ago, I really have trouble just spontaneously writing, and usually get creative based on responding to someone else's post here at the Pav.

    So, unfortunately, count me out.

Awesome. Love the idea, and I've been thinking of doing this, too. My first project will be to become fluent in Spanish, one hour a day.

        I'll do it!

I've been needing to work on some music for a long time, and this will be a good chance to try and get something done.

There's plenty of things I could do like finish my game that’s been in the works for 7 years, catch up on all the books I've bought and never finished and all the RPGs I have never beaten. It has actually bothered me lately that I never have time to do these things yet I waste plenty of time on the internet and watching pointless TV. Good idea, I’ll see if I can keep up with it.

2 days now, so far so good.

I think I'll stick to the hour a day rate because I find if I do a bunch at one time, I'm gonna get burned out or cocky that I'm ahead er something...so I'm hoping letting other people know will keep me motivated. An hour is pretty easy to squeeze into my schedule, even if I have to divide it into 2.
