Re: Who subscribes to threads?
if my inbox is boring for more then a month i subscribe to threads so i can be spammed by every reply under the sun.
this is a good feature to have if your making an obscure post somewhere and want to be notified if someone replies. also can be good to keep tract of a post you like in a spot you wouldnt normally visit.

Re: Who subscribes to threads?
Well when subscribing to threads you just click User CP to update the subscribed threads, if you use "New Posts" it acts like a search query and it only allows you to do it every 30 seconds, plus it keeps topics youre interested in in one convenient spot. I throw in a New Posts click every so often since theyre not made often.
IMO
EDIT:I dont see a vote duel and karr, I didnt make the poll for my health

Re: Who subscribes to threads?
I never saw a point to it, unless you want to raise your post count to exponential levels within a very short period of time (*casts a look directly at JPS*). I just don't clear out any cookies the Pav adds, and every time I enter a forum, all the threads with new posts are highlighted anyway. And if it's some old, obscure post you're worried about, chances are you'll see it on the first page anyway when it is necro'ed, and chances are that whoever necro'ed it does not have anything substantial to add anyway.
Although, I HAVE been thinking of subscribing to some/all of the threads where I posted a "wall of text" in case I ever wanted to go back to them again at a later date without typing "Bloody Zelda" (for an example) into the search engine. Also, I'm thinking about digging around trying to find them anyway, and possibly "collect" them for future reference in case Valk does some spring cleaning, and starts pruning threads left and right, and they are lost forever. Actually, lil_das kinda gave me this idea with his "Perversion's rant thread" comment.
