The only thing I've liked from Tool is that spanish recipe read in German or whatever...the rest sounds like boring hard rock/bordering on metal to me.

i have a book called Already Dead which is really beautifully written but i cant stand reading it, and i dont like the characters/plot or anything. it sounds really weird, but seriously its written really really well, it just sucks.

I have the same book, and the same problem, actually.

I heard good things about the author, so decided to purchase one of his books. It just happened to be this one, which held absolutely no interest for me.

Try reading Douglas Coupland's Generation X, Girlfriend in a Coma, or Microserfs instead. Either that, or Alex Garland's The Beach (the film does not do the book justice).
