    Need Reference for comic.

Sooo, I've been searching the internet's for stock references of someone swinging a two-handed sword, but the only ones I have found are not in the same sort of position I was hoping for. I was wondering if some of the wonderful artists here on the Pav might be able to help me out.

The basic pose is a behind shot of a decently bulky guy swinging his sword downwards, from over his left shoulder, and having it end up embedded in a hill/corpse. I've found a ton of images that show some scrawny guy holding the sword over his shoulder or some other useless, non-action pose.

The only reason I am asking is because I have tried finding it myself, but I have no real male references that I can take pictures of (mostly because of being too big or not being willing to do it at all) and I have NO clue how to pull it off without looking bad. Anyways, PLEASE help me.

Here is the image just before it's swung into the body (the girl kinda falls out of the way, but I can prolly get that pose easily.)

Again, the view is from his back, centered about waist high, and the sword ends up stuck in the ground/body. I will give internet cookies and rep to who ever can help me.

    try this video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=_L6fkNr2ni8

its the ff8 opening sequence but it has the gunblade battle that might give you the type of two handed sword choreograph you are looking for. additionally midway through there is a nice scene where the gunblade is struck into the ground, that could be the pose of the sword you want.

otherwise im not sure what you are aiming for exactly. if you want a pose then you will have to experiment for yourself to find something that works - learning is a lot better then relying on others to do something for ya.

Thank you Ωbright for the sig fix!
Card Three is released! You can find it here!

I really don't like to rely on others, but right now it's kinda where I am. It's not an easy pose, and I have no real way of getting the pose(working off a female model doesn't quite work for a male pose) but i think that this opening might just be perfect...Thank you so much!

I suggest whatching the movie Troy. I can think a few times in the movie were a pose like that happens. When Ajack is swinging the hammer and when Paris and Agamemnon are fighting. I haven't found a picture yet, but I will if I find a good one.

This might help. It's a pic of a simialer pose.

^_^ Thank you! I think any variation on this pose will work for me, I've kinda given up on the general perspective of it, and am willing to deal with just any version of the swing. Basically if I can find something that shows a man swinging a sword down two handed, I can work with it.

I just suck at drawing men so fricken bad..-.-
