    LUXOR: Pharoah's Challenge

I bought this $20 PS2 game just the other day.

It's a shooter/puzzle game that is really quite addicting. Lots of powerups and some cool colorful graphics and effects. I've played for several hours so far.

    Stage 4-4
    Chief Farm Hand
    1,266,700
    8 lives
Badges: Jade Djed Pillar, Winged Pendant, Sun Charm, Isis Statue, Double Ankh, Sistrum, Bes Statue
Blesssings: Devotion of Isis, Finger of Horus, Speed of Resheph

Does anyone else have it? And if so, what do you think?

The box art makes it look a little like Zuma.

I think there's a version of this for XBLA.

      Also, Hi, Page!

        Hey bro!

Yeah, I know I rarely come over here to non-RPG-maker-related threads, but this is a really cool little game. I'm going to play it again later on tonight.

I recently bought a used copy of the XBLA disc that came with the new Arcade units, and Luxor 2 was one of the games on it. I played for about 2 hours (maybe more) yesterday, got to the point where the "maps" started to repeat, but with a new colored ball (somewhere after 4-2 or 4-3), had well over a million points and 10 lives saved up. I also unlocked 5 achievements. I think I didn't lose my first life until somewhere in 4-something.

That being said, it's not nearly as fun as Zuma on XBLA. It kinda seems to drag (the levels go on for too long), and in the XBLA version, there is no way to manually save your game that I found. So I kept playing it until I began getting bored, even though I still had 10 lives saved up. I went to quit, and it saved it for me. Thank God you do not have to play the entire thing in one sitting.
