    In the Name of the King AKA Uwe Boll Sucks.

    Well, I went to see the Golden Compass with my mother (for the second agonizing time, she can't say I don't love her.) and BEHOLD! NEW PREVIEWS. One of them happened to be an interesting movie staring the guy from the Transporter. I am squirming in my seat at this, a new awesome looking fantasy movie, and the famous people are flashing past and I am giggling in anticipation and then the title "In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale." I don't know if I want to be giggly or dissapointed. So, here is the IMDB webpage-

      I saw the preview too, when I watched Beowulf.

      The whole thing reeked of an LOTR rip-off, as if they had borrowed lines from those movies and just paraphrased them. It was pretty ludicrous.

      Then I saw that Uwe Boll was the director. And I wasn't shocked anymore.

      Yes, be disappointed. Be VERY disappointed.

            I'm disappointed in Jason Statham, Ray Liotta, Mathew Lillard, and Burt Reynolds.

              Okay...now I don't want to see it. I mean, how does Uwe whatthehell his name is GET MORE MOVIES. He sucks! I am ashamed I made this topic, I deserve negative rep for not reading the fine print.

                      The important thing is this proves it's possible to make a trailer that will get people interested, no matter how worthless the actual film is.

                        Even the trailer looked terrible. It was just Statham making empty rallying cries like a poor man's Beowulf. Which was a poor man's 300. Which was riffing on Gladiator.

                              Really? I could see why. I liked Gladiator because the story was deep and moving. 300 as great though. You cannot blame it from taking some stuff from Gladiator.

                              Anywayz this movie looks cheap and lame. Jason Statham is pretty cool though. Watch it be legendary and we all miss out on it because we are so judgemental.
