Right, so I'm sorry I don't keep up over here in the imaginari much, but I'm in need of a 3D artist for my final project at DeVry...
We're working on a simple mini-golf game to demonstrate our grasp on game-programming and simple physics engines, and we're in need of either Maya/Max trained artists who are willing to work for their name in credits and finished copy for demo/portfolio purposes (I know this isn't really anything in terms of payment, sorry).
We only require one animated model (a golfer - need 2 skins though) thus far as the rest of the objects will be animated manually. All models will need to be exported in .x format and do not require high levels of detail at all. The game is mostly a demonstration of coding abilities for our team. If we have the chance we MAY get into high level shading in which case better looking models are preferred, but all in all we just need some simple cartoony models for the golfer and courses/obstacles/etc.
Right now just seeing if there's any interest here, final deadline for art integration for our gold version will be sometime in June but there will be several checkpoints for major assets as we get to Alpha and Beta states as well.
If you are interested or know people who might be, contact me at mmiller1979@gmail please and I'll get you in touch with our Art Lead, who will have specific details about what assets are needed probably before the end of January.
Thanks in advance.
