Living with the Living might get a 6th spot, but I couldn't really think of 10 albums that really stood out.

I'd seriously suggest that anyone should pick up Andy Palacio's "Watina" album. It's chock full of amazing Garifuna music, and he's Belizean, so I'm obligated to big him up.

The album has made it on several "Best of 2007" lists worldwide. And deservedly so.

I'm terrible when it comes to actually knowing when things came out, is that weird?

I'll second Beirut's The Flying Club Cup, and Okkervil River's The Stage Names as being fantastic albums, though.

You can hear the entire album, and see a bunch of unique live performances of The Flying Club Cup here: http://flyingclubcup.com/spip.php?rubrique1

Movies, from what I saw in no particular order:

          No Country For Old Men
          Rescue Dawn
          Superbad & Knocked Up
          Eastern Promises
          Sicko
          Zodiac
          The Host

I think those all came out in 2007. I also saw Blade Runner: The Final Cut, and it was one of the most beautifully shot films I've ever had the pleasure to look upon.

"At first it just looked like a picture of a bunch of lily pads, but then I started scraping at it with my pocket knife and the whole painting just sort of spoke to me," Schmidt said. "For the first time, I finally understand what Monet was trying to get across in her work."

You just don't like stories set in dystopian futures.

Was that supposed to be a worst of 2007 movie list?

These are the only albums this year I can think of.

LCD Soundsystem - Sound Of Silver
The Go! Team - Proof Of Youth
                        Deerhoof - Friend Opportunity
                        Battles - Mirrored
Architecture In Helsinki - Places Like This
                        M.I.A. - Kala

I didn't see any good movies. No new games. 2007 sucks. I can't wait till it ends.

Na, just a list of all the movies I've watched over the year. Too lazy to divide the good and bad.

Cool, because that makes sense in a topic titled Best of 2007.
