Wii don't need no stinkin' wires.

Various wireless sensor bars have been available since soon after the Wii's lauch but pretty soon you'll finally be able to go fully wireless with your Wii. Nyko's bringing out the Wireless Nunchuck.

Slap the receiver on the Wiimote and flip the power switch on it and the Nunchuck, slip on a second wrist strap and you're ready to go. On the bright side, all that extra work will get you in shape for Wii Fit. Oh yeah, it'll need it's own batteries too. (Do we see now why Nintendo didn't make it wireless?) Release and pricing to be announced at CES next month.

But what about that other Wiimote dangling controller? You're covered there too.

Okay, so the Thrustmaster T-Wireless NW Wii (phew!) is really a wireless GameCube controller but that means unlike the Classic Controller you can use it with both VC and GC games. And Unlike the Wavebird it's got the classic controller layout, rumble, and slow/turbo functions. And, it's tiny!

Also, check out Nyko's Perfect Shot gun. Unlike the Zapper and most of the knock-offs, it's actually shaped like a gun and lets you hold the Nunchuk (or the Wireless Nunchuck) freely.

The controller is $20 same as the official classic controller and the Perfect Shot is $15 which I guess is a discount for not coming with Crossbow Training. So maybe the Nunchck will be $20 in keeping with the regular Nunchuk's price.

Thrustmaster? This is the best their marketing department could come up with? Sounds like a gay porn fighter-jock.

I like my Wii zapper just fine. Wireless nunchuck is pretty cool though. However will the charger stand be able to charge its batteries?

it looks like alot of work to be able to use two wireless controllers at once. i guess it takes practice to use but it still seams like massive overkill. soon they will make controllers you will need to operate with your feet.

Thank you Ωbright for the sig fix!

The wireless nunchuck seems rather unnecessary as do most 3rd party controllers.

I wouldn't classify specialty controllers in the same category because they're needed for play. Steel Batallion wouldn't be the same without it's 300$ controller.

The only thing I hate about the wiimote is the fact that it DOESN'T turn off (atleast, I haven't found a way yet). As long as there are batteries in the thing, pressing a button causes the lights to flash. I had the wiimote in my bag when I went on a 3 hour plane flight and I completely drained the batteries.

The Steel Battalion was in regards to Karr's post.

I was talking more along the lines of this ridiculous crap:

I do not have that problem. My Wii remote lasts for a long ass time. I am fairly sure it is possible to be turned off. If not then just take out the batteries. That is what I do with my PS2 wireless controller.

I liked the airflow controllers. They kept my palms cool.

Now, this is a controller that needs to make a comeback!

I've seen pictures of a Wii powerglove, but I don't know if they're real or not.

EDIT: god i can't believe we thought half smirks and aviator glasses were cool in the early 90s.

Hey! I love my Air Flo GCN controller. 2x the cable length, 1.5x the size, and it has a huge rumble pack in it.
