That number is true.
We only loose a few soldiers every month (I had an aunt in Kabul for a year fighting).
I wouldn't say we are necessarily smarter- there was a HUGE debate back when htis war started that there was so little funding, our government sent the troops over in dark green camouflage as we didn't have the money to buy desert colured camouflage.
There are definitely fewer of us over there compared to the states, and people like us more.
