PS3

Just recently got a PS3, and so far I like it more than the 360. You can even go on the Internet with it. It feels weird posting on here with a PlayStation controller. Feels like RPGM.

I've only got access to a few games but this alone will keep me busy for awhile.

I just wish Sony would make an update so I could actually send/receive messages from different people while playing a game instead of quitting out of it entirely.

Which version did you get? 40, 60, or 80GB?

As for why I like it better, I've just always been a PS person. I like the controller more, it runs quieter than the 360, etc. Plus the 360 I had been playing got the Red Ring of Death, so that reinforces my pro PlayStation mentality.

The Internet feature is nice, but does not justify the price. :/

I mean yeah its nice browsing the Pav on a big screen TV, but remember I typed these messages with a controller. Takes just as long as RPGMaker 3. @_@

I got the 80 gig.

Just never expect to play RPG Maker 2 on it.

i wonder if they are going to come up with downloadable software to cover the problem or something? i guess it doesnt mater considering sony thinks of ps2 games as last generation so no need to offer support for them. good thing ps2's are still selling and are cheap.

Since when? The PS2 is still selling strong, and new games are coming out for it all the time.

Just as an update... my 80 gig PS3 runs RPGMaker 2 just fine. Is there a reason, Valk, that I should've not expected it to?

two people I know with 80GB PS3s say RPG Maker 2 locks up on them and doesnt display visual FX properly.

Sony's software compatability list says that it has problems.

perhaps your system is magical.

Nope, its not magical. I just thought you meant it is not and never will be backwards compatible- as in, not at all. It does have the freezing issue, having seen VFX yet to confirm that.
