    Den's December Decathalon (El Finis)

I went and bought $200 worth of brand new games. On top of that I have games that I want to finish but haven't yet. So this December, before I have to go back and finish up my last semester, I'm going to try to get as much gaming done as possible.

So I'm leaving it up to you guys. Vote on which games you think I should play, and I'll play them each in the order that results, as much as I can, until I either finish it, come to a stopping point, or get bored with it.

    OK, so far:

    1. Mass Effect - haven't started
    2. Super Mario Galaxy - 12 stars
    3. Portal - Heartbreaker
    4. Assassin's Creed - I don't own it, I can borrow it. I've played a little so far.
    5. Gears of War - Played through most of the way by myself already, but I really want to try it co-op.
    and (tied)
Psychonauts - I've wanted to try this, but I don't know much about it.
    6. Disgaea - I'll probably leave this for rainy days when I don't have anything else to do.
    7. Geometry Wars Galaxies - I want to play this, but I also want to beat Magus's score on XBL.

FFXII:RW is something I'm playing in between all these. The others will just have to wait till I get done with these.

As soon as my finals are complete on Friday, I plan to spend 3-5 hours a day to gaming to acheive my goal. This might be tough with working 2 jobs. I think I'll use my livejournal to log my progress, (unless the Grump Factory wouldn't mind me blogging there...)

Good amount of game you got...

I say Mario first, it's easy and fairly short unless you plan on getting all 120 stars.

        Gears of War

        - But you gotta play it co-op, and Casual is for pussies.

        Mass Effect

        - I haven't played it, but I hear really good things about it and it looks like a pretty good time sink. So if you're wanting to BEAT as many games as possible, probably save this one for later. Otherwise go for it.

        Disgaea

        - Did you get this for PSP? Save it for level-grinding on the toilet. So when you have to take a break from gaming, you really don't have to. :3

I voted Oblivion, because I loved doing the guilds in that game. also, it doesn't take that long to do.

Galaxy because you can play it and then start other stuff in the middle and then switch right back without forgetting any amount of a storyline or anything... Mario rules.

I still need to finish the thieves and fighters guild.

Plus I have to work my way through shivering isles again to get the Duke Dementia achievement because I didn't know I had to save a spot before choosing which Duke path to take. Luckily my female character looks pretty damn nice in the dark seducer armor, though.

                    Re: Den's December Decathalon

you should probably play them in the order of beatability. short ones or games with not alot of free roaming would be good to start. that way you actually get to put a dent in your waiting collection.

plus you can double up and play both a portable and non-portable game at the same time.

I also go Gears of War.

But Portal is probably the quickest to beat. {:3

I am playing Gears right now. Make sure you have a friend with you for it.

Portal. you can finish it quickly and it's so worth it.
