    Zoras Gorons Greudos need new names

    Ok I have been making my Zelda type game and have encountered some problems.

    1.I need too know what to call the new zoras and ask you suggest model numbers.
    2.Same for Gorons and Greudos.
    3.Need help making a screen where you pick your class.
    4.on the map screen can you make a ledge so you wont be able too leave
    that one map (like a little canyon)

      Okay, uh, I'm not too sure who well you thought this through since your last thread, but I'll do it for you:

      You WILL NOT be able to match up RM3's characters with those of any other games unless A) you get lucky or B) you decide to tell your audience right off the bat that nothing matches.

      I'd like to know why the zoras/gorons/greudos need "new" names. If its just because you think that they do, call them "Fish" "Rocks" and "Nomads" and that'd be just as good as anything else. Don't liike the English language? Pick a different one: zoras can be pescados!

      As far as my suggestions on what to use for each class, the bellydancers are fine for the greudos since the look like that pretty much anyway. the gorons could be dwarves, and the zoras could be elves or clowns or really just about anything becaus the're aren't any matching models for fish...

      If you wanted to make the classes enemies, zoras could be sirens, gorons could be barbarians/ogres/golems and greudos could be bellydancers again, since nothing really matches the somewhat attractive lady villian.

      Why does Link need to pick his class? Isn't he a lefty knight?

      In the V-Mode part of the map editor, make a drastic change in elevation and you will create a canyon/chasm/fijord which characters will not be able to cross. OR, you could put a small ammount of water through the center of a mountain causing much the same effect, but the only way to get across this would be a warp point. Like going into the builder's camp in Ocarina, and then "fixing" the bridge...

        I have been thiking of names and have chosen,and can't decide

        for zoras,
        a.Iguanadins: blue lizzardman
        b.Arons: red lizzardman
        c.Golden Ones: yellow lizardman

        for gorons:
        a.Stone Frog:White frog
        b.Mountain Frog: Red Frog

        For greudos the belly dancer

        and for the class thing

        you end up on a sword anyway
        and you get to train for different weapons at a guild
        also you can transform into animals

          You spelled Gerudo wrong.

          If you end up being the same anyway, whats the point of picking a different class? It'll just eat up memory. If you really want to do it then create a special building/map/town that you cannot normally reach. Place the Hero of each class in the room and have the player start out as a chicken, or a frog, or whatever. When the player talks to them they say their class, maybe with a description, then ask if the player wants to choose that class. You add the chosen class to the party, remove the chicken/frog/whatever from the party (in that order), and warp them to the begining of the story.

          Baddabing, you have a class choosing screen.

              For The Class Thing I Decided To Narrow It Down To Where You Pick From
              Good Or Evil: And Thx For The Animal Idea

              I've Decided That If You Pick i.e. Good The Story Alters Slightly And You Get Different Weapons And A Secret Guild.

              I've Finialy Figured Out The Battle System But Need Help On 1 Thing
              How Do You Make a loop where you have to use a certain item?

              and ive been trying to make a music screen were you can use an item and then play a bmg to do something like a whistle or ocarina.

                  P.S. The setup I gave you will also work for good and evil, but would work better if you had an invisible auto-event next to the start location that simply asked the player and then changed the party based on that decision. You would probably do a fade to black first, so they don't see the character change.

                    But the good/evil thing could work too! It actually gives someone a reason (other than Smash Bros thinking it looks cool) to have a Black Link! The only other critique I'll make (right now) is that Lil' Link should be left as far away from your game as possible! Sure, a six year old winging around a buster sword is all cool and swell, but I think the 20+ guy could do it better, am I right?

                    AND, stay away from anything having to do with the final boss NOT being Gannon! The two ABSOLUTE WORST Link games ever were made even more unplayable by the fact that Gannon (and Gannondorf/Aganim/all the other silly names Nintendo comes up with...) were omited from the game's finale.

                    (and yes, I know I lied about saying I would only make one comment)

                      About The Kid link thing ive decided to do about the kid link thing is
                      you start out young around 17 then you join a guild and go ahead
                      5 or 6 years and then your and adult. Before though you get to pick
                      what you want to train in. Thats when you get your Chara model good
                      or evil.

                      oh and what chara model do you think ganondorf should be,also how do you make waterfalls

                        Sounds pretty good so far Tmanerer. Gannondorf should be either a Warrior or a magic user. Okay, so that is kinda obvious. Whatever model you use, Color Style 4 is your best bet, they all look evil/posessed.

                            1. I'd suggest you make your own map, but like all Zelda games the castle should be central, with a volcano, desert, town, and lake in the surrounding areas.
                            2. Make a special building in each town that teleports you to a 'help-dungeon' using an invisible auto event. Inside would be characters and/or events that give helpfull hints on various subjects.
                            3. No idea.
                            4. Use the Forum Search function for "minigames" and you'll find a half-dozen threads on this subject.
