    Need For Speed: ProStreet *Screenshots*

I figured not many of you are into racing games, but is anyone looking forward to getting this?

    http://www.ea.com/prostreet/

This is the first time Ive been interested in a Need For Speed game, I like the fact that you just dont bounce off when you hit the wall, makes for a more fun game. Unfortunately I'll have to get this for PS2, Im getting my wife a Wii for Christmas but I dont know if NFS would "fit" in with the Wii, if you know what I'm saying.

Hopefully it wont be impossible to earn money like GT3 was Because Im sure Ill be breaking quite a few things on the cars.

Naw actually I am steering the other way. I am actually a fan of Most Wanted and Carbon but Prostreet is all closed tracks. No free roaming or anything. Kind of ruins it for me.

Although I am sure the features will be awesome so if you haven't really gotten into the other ones you wouldn't necessarily know what you are missing out on.

I was going to buy Most Wanted but I didnt know how much you can customize cars, Im more into the "street racing" extremely customizeable type games, I have Tokyo Extreme and it allows you to customize your paint pixel by pixel, thats what I like, unfortunately not many games have that.

How much fun did you get out of Most Wanted or Carbon? I dont want something Ill play for a week then get tired from it because of redundant stuff.

It seems that the only racing series that keeps me coming back for more is the Midnight Club series. Everything else just looks so dull and unimpressive. Although Burnout Paradise looks somewhat interesting as of course does Midnight Club: LA.

Like Chrono, the only racing games I've really gotten into was Midnight Club.

Most wanted has some really good replay value. The main campaign is awesome fun and decently long. You will almost certainly play through it again because you can get different cars and custimize things different. The custimization is really satisfying as in there are plenty of cars and they can all be made completely different. You can choose between a crazy amount of rims/decals/tints/bodys/colors/etc. Also the game focuses not only on racing but also on police chases.

Carbon is even better in my opinion. (although I have friends who disagree) The campaign is shorter and cars are harder to acquire but that just adds to your attachment to your rides. The custimization is ridiculous. You can tweak EVERYTHING. It is easily the most detailed of any racing game I have ever played. Carbon doesn't focus on police chases so much but it has races with team members you can custimize and pick who can give you special power ups/abilitys. This makes every race different and fun.

There are small sidequests and certain secondary achievements that you can unlock in both games. They will surely have you playing for some time because they add to the addiction.

If I were you I would probably pick them both up. They are different enough to do so. I have them for X-BOX but I have a friend who has them for PS2 and loves them the same. Both of those version are great. I haven't played any other system versions.

Now that I have a pretty positive review on both of them I might go ahead and pick those up too, I just didnt want a game like Juiced...wow I hated that game), its race this race that, buy this, race 5 more times, earn money to buy this, and so on...and it just got annoying after a while.

They are definitely worth picking up. Hell I have had some nights where me and some friends will all sit around and compete to have the longest police chases without getting caught. It gets pretty hard after a while. Plus they have lower prices now since they have aged. That always helps. haha

They have a TON of upgrade options, plus an "Autosculpt" option that allows you to modify nearly every body part, their paint offers quite a bit of versatility and they have well over 700 graphics/team logos/aftermarket logos/etc...you can place on your car anywhere, any size, any shape.

I'll take some more screenshots later.
