Sony announces extended life battery pack for PSP

No price or date yet, but it'll give old models 20% more play time, and the new models 80%. The only thing really new about this is the battery cover for the slim (silver and black). the battery from the set has been available for almost two years.

nah. the PSP slim has pretty good battery life already, around 3-4 hours per charge depending on the game being played and system settings. While this thing will be a very welcome addition, it's not an absolute must-have item.

honestly, if you want a PSP, just go get one. they're awesome.

Just make sure you put at least a 1GB memory stick in the thing to get the most out of all it's features.

Ive already seen two kinds of batterys for PSPs in stores. So now this is a third one right?

this is the second type, the one currently available in gold packaging.

it just has a cover included now, so you don't have to touch the battery while you're using it in the slim.

You can take the battery out of the PSP at any time. so yeah, just get a PSP first.
