How did Wii get to you?

For those who have a Wii, how'd you manage that? Did you camp out on launch day or maybe some other time when stores revealed they'd have them in stock? Buy it for some inflated or bundled price online? Just luck out and find one sitting on the shelf? What's your secret?

I was the eighth in line for the day that Gamestop announced their preorders. They had 16 to go around.

A walked into a Gamestop one day as this middle-aged woman was asking the clerk for a Wii and he was like, "Yeah, I've got one left." and I dropped to my knees and started crying and the guy was like, "Well, maybe I have two." and he did.

I got one cuz I'm friends w/ the GameCrazy Manager, and just happened to get one when they got a shipment...eh, I shoulda taken that money and put it in Nintendo stock. $_$

I walked into Software Etc. 2 weeks after the Wii was released and asked for one.

Then I bought it...

I really should have turned around and sold it on ebay. Probably would have gotten 3x what I paid for it.

Two of my housemates have Wiis, they seemed to get them early on with no problem at all. I think they got them online via a normal retail site, a little while after the Wii came out.

I just went every couple days to Target, and I eventually got there when they had 3.
