    Dead-My PS2

I had it for 7 good years. Out of my 25 games we sold 21 of them for a total of $167.93. My dad says that we should still keep it though, I dont know why but he says we can get the laser replaced for about $45. Any suggestions on getting it fixed?

What's the problem with it? Is it a slim? Did you try cleaning the laser? If it's a slim and you have a problem with the lid being loose you could put some books on top of it.

You got a ps2 when you were 6 yrs old? Holy crap dude!

Yeah I had a very effective cleaning method. Just get a few Q-tips and some Isupropyl Rubbing Alchohol (3 bucks at meijer). Dip the Q-tip in and rub the laser a few time and with the other end dry it off. My laser just wore out and couldnt read my games anymore. Also I dont have a slim.

Slims weren't around 7 years ago.
