Wii is having problems.

    Wii is having problems.

    Well my Wii is having some disc reading problems, (happened after the update when I put Mario Galaxy in).

    So at first I thought it was my Disc I take it out wash it etc.

    I put in Zelda Crossbow Training. My Wii is making noises and finally a disc read error.

    So now I feel that it is going to die soon.

    I decide to go old-school on it (using a twist tie to open up the flaps) and blow into the slot.

    Seems to be working now, which is odd.

    Anyone else having problems after the update?

      No, but on a related note, I pushed the button to close the disc tray on my Xbox 360 today, and it made a noise and moved slightly, but did not close. It did this three times until I finally gently pushed it in, at which time it closed. Never had this problem before. I have a feeling the RROD is right around the corner.

        Doesn't that just occassionally happen with disc trays? I know it happens with my DVD and CD rom drives sometimes. So I wouldn't worry about it. But then again with any 360 RROD is just a matter of time, usually seconds.

            if this is the update galaxy needs to play, then no. though i'll admit to being ****** off at having to update just to play the damn game(i already had the update. it just annoys me).

                  the update that Mario did for me hasnt caused any problems, although the only game i've played on the Wii since the update is mario, so i dont know if it might be affecting other games. I'll have to put in Fire Emblem and see.

                    My wii is working fine now apperently, I think there was some dust or somthing on the lens. I must have blew it out.

                    I dunno, thought maybe it was the update. I guess not.

                        They're ok. The levels are really quite good considering they are just from TP. *** SPOILERS ***
                        Final boss is the bone dragon, so I really can't complain :P

                        Wanna try the zapper with Elebits. I wish it was a bit larger, but other than that it's comfortable.

                          Same here... Gonna have revive Mario's paper counterpart.
