Batman, Gargoyles, X-men.... All out of date now. I can't think of any others right now. I watch Teen Titans sometimes if the kids are watching it.

Oh, and I really liked Clone High.

        Re: Cartoons/Animated Series

Most of my favorites are anime. (Those that aren't are the would-be sitcoms: Futurama, Family Guy, and The Simpsons. Freakazoid, Tiny Toons, Chip & Dale Rescue Rangers, and Pinky & The Brain were nice back in the day, but I really don't get the same pleasure out of them as I did when I was 12.) I don't know if you really wanted that included, but they (or at least some of them) are just much more mature and intriguing than "american" cartoons, and they don't violate your suspension of disbelief. A lot of them almost mimic other genres, but as animation they can do a lot more than live actors and scenes can.

I'll admit that most (though certainly not all) of my exposure to anime has been on cable, and especially via Cartoon Network. GitS Stand Alone Complex (every iteration) is by far my favorite. I've also really enjoyed IGPX, Trinity Blood, Pokemon (the first ~40 episodes, before it started to suck), Blood+, Fullmetal Alchemist, Prince of Tennis (no idea how they made this concept into such a good show), and the Tenchi series. Death Note looks interesting, too. I've also had the pleasure of seeing some of Miyazaki's movies. I wasn't too hot on Mononoke, but I liked most of the others and really loved Castle in the Sky (Laputa).

Ren & Stimpy made me the man I am today.

Rocko's Modern Life provided some temperance.

.Hack: Legend of the Twilight is the most mature of them.

Otherwsie. I kinda like Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon (the old ones), Justice League, this cartoon based off the American Godzilla movie... I think that's it.

Oh yeah, Magic School Bus was a favorite when I was younger.

I liked Yu-Gi-Oh too. Can't get into this GX version though. Doesn't stop me from killing the DS games.

I missed the first episode of GX, and I never tried to see another one.

                      Re: Cartoons/Animated Series

I grew up with crappy cartoons. I used to live out in the country for three year between 3rd and 6th grade, and my grandma would try to shoo my brother and myself outside to explore the acres of land we lived on (cliffs, caves, horses, ponies, weird old tombstones/monuments made out of marble from the previous century-the mid 1800s, rivers to fish or swim in, etc), and all we wanted to do was sit inside from 6 in the morning until about noon every Saturday to watch cartoons. Then when we finally did go outside after lunch, all we did was sit on the driveway and play with our Hot Wheels/Matchbox cars and Star Wars figures. I SO should have listened to my Grandma.

In any case, during those days, I pretty much lived for every episode of the D & D cartoon. Everything else was just filler waiting for that half-hour.

As for weekday cartoons, I liked Underdog and all the various cartoons on Rocky and Bullwinkle (Dudley Do Right, Sherman and Peabody, Fractured Fairy Tales, etc). Hate to admit it now, but I pretty regularly watched the one with Henrietta Hippo and that wise old owl, whatever his name was. I forget the name of this show, though.

                        Re: Cartoons/Animated Series

Rurouni Kenshin is the only anime.

Rugrats when I was a kid.

Beastwars #1 cartoon for me hands down. Every morning before school until I was like 12.

That's all I can think of right now.

Which TMNT? The 80s one, the live action one, the 2000s cartoon, or Fast Forward?
