    Characters?

Can someone explain the system of having other Characters that battle with you? Like where do you create them at? And can you customize them COMPLETELY?

Like what do you mean? Like where you meet them, or where do you make them?

      Re: Characters?

Make them just like you would regular characters, place them in a town or wherever using standard event->character, and when you want to add them, use the script Party Control->Join Party->Character, then do a Display Off on the event

Like say for example I can make him look like a Lizardman? And then make him use magic?

            Re: Characters?

Every "person" or other playable character in the game is handled the exact same way. Just create them in the Editor. If you don't put them in your starting party, you can simply add them at any point in the game using the Event Command "Add Members."

Please try to ask related questions in one thread, rather than making one thread per questoin. It's no big deal, but it clutters up the forum a bit. Thanks

O.K................................So I do it in the Playable Character Editor? And then place them in town? And use an event to make them join? I think I get it.................................

So can I make a Lizardman Mage for my Party? And a Birdman Archer?

A: Sure, any character can be a magic user.
B: Not unless you don't mind you birdman swinging his bow around like a polearm.

                  Re: Characters?

Yes, you make them in the Character Editor.

HOWEVER, although you can place them in town and have them join your party in that event (in which you'll want to use a Display Off event command on the character after they join), you can also use the Add Party Member command in ANY event to make any character join your party--it doesn't need to be that character on the map.

So certain people can only use certain weapons? Do you have a Link to a list of who can use what?

                        Re: Characters?

Can't you just give a Character a different Class so that he will be able to use different weapons?

                          Re: Characters?

When you go to create a new class, you are asked which weapon type you want the character to have (sword, bow, staff etc..) and THAT determines the character models available to that class, if that makes any sense.

No. Any character can use magic. Not every character can use every weapon by default. See the "Any weapon trick".
