greatest feeling of acomplishment in a game

yea, yet another of these topics.

what single event in a game made you feel proud for achieving it? was it beating the hardest boss in a difficult game? perhaps defeating a challenging puzzle? maybe as simple as finishing a game?

im curious to know what types of things really make you go wow, i did it.

Solving Amateria in Myst III without using any hints. The whole world is based around dynamic type puzzles where you are setting up pathways for large crystal spheres to roll through. They're fiendishly difficult to solve but the pay-off is more than worth it. When all the paths are compleate you yourself enter one of the spheres and get treated to a first person viewpoint of the rollercoster ride you created.

"A" ranks on every stage in NiGHTS. That was pretty cool.

I haven't felt very strongly about games lately, so my vote would have to be beating the Elite Four in Pokemon Yellow.

Unlocking everything legitimately on Shinobi(PS2) in 50 hours. Statistically speaking, 1 out of every 10 gamers can actually do it. The game itself is challenging enough on Normal, but when you get to Super difficulty, if you don't have |\/|@d 5|<1llZ, FORGET ABOUT IT! The last boss, among most of the other ones on that difficulty, are some of the most frustrating bosses in video game history.

The key is to know how to set up the perfect tate combo, because while you can slack off and half-ass them, it just drags the battles on, and on Super that's not recommended. Even to this day, knowing I was one of the few people who beat the game FULLY a few months after its release, makes me feel pretty good.

Runner up goes to Legaia 2. That game was so unbalanced for a RPG, it was ridiculous. I felt awesome when I did more damage to the last boss than I probably ever will to FFVII's ruby weapon. I don't see how people could learn the necessary arts without guidance though.

Killing my first Monoblos is Monster Hunter, going the LONG way in Starfox 64, getting various medals in Battlefield 2142/Halo 3, and getting EVERY Chaos Emerald in Sonic & Knuckles + Sonic The Hedgehog 3.

Perhaps getting the last few jiggies in Banjo Kazooie.

Winning a game of Civ above the Noble (normal) difficulty always feels pretty nice, too. Any kind of domination in Civ is a lot of fun.

I guess my greatest moment is beating Chrono Trigger for the first time. It was my first RPG, and I really got hooked on the game's story, especially the different endings.
