I actually am interested in this...

Only thing that really irks me is Anglina (spelling?) Jolie. Ugh.

I'm surprised Hollywood made a CG movie that doesn't involve talking/singing/dancing animals.

I'm interested only really to see how far it strays from the poem, I don't expect it to be good.

            Re: Beowulf

It probably strays a whole lot.

Early reviews are surprisingly positive - especially for the IMAX 3D version - so I may check this out.

I second the man. The poem ****** me off with the incredibly old English that I could barely comprehend. I don't a movie adaption to to the same thing...however, Duel, feel free to tell us what you thought.

I saw it earlier this morning in 3D.

                  It's pretty damned good.

Actually not such a bad read at all, just that its historic importance far surpasses its literary worth.

Also, they actually created a movie a long time ago, I think it was based loosely on Beowulf, called The 13th Warrior. Mediocre at best, but really funny in that people were walking around slicing each others' heads off for no apparent reason.

I just want to watch TV without it popping up every commercial with the guys shouting " I AM Beowulf!". Yeah... we get it.

I threw this together to use as a sig but it turned out too crappy.
