    I actually own this game.

I bought this game long ago thinking: "Wow, this sounds cool."
Asked a few of my buddies if they wanted to play. "I don't know how to play risk", they replied. Let me show you this review.

You can play as famous leaders like George Washington. (BTW the Box art scares me)

THE PROBLEM:You are not playing an actual WAR. These military leaders are sitting around a table playing Risk. It doesn't show them, but you can tell.

    Gameplay:

I dislike this aspect the most. It plays like the real thing, setting troops, blah blah blah. The computer enemy ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS sets all of his/her reinforcements on the same army. So I have to watch George Washington's
40 Armies go on a killing spree. It's not pretty seeing your little 1 Army fighting a 20 Army unit. Is that how it's done in a real game? Also, bad voice acting.

THIS IS A REAL LINE SAID BY ONE OF THE CHARACTERS DURING A GAME:

I can see through your strategy like a bowl with no noodles.

It may be different, but I bet I'm close. Not a very good lunch choice.

You can unlock different types of dice! THEY DON'T DO ANYTHING.

There are a lot of medals.....

The game gives you a save feature....for an obvious reason.

You can make your own Army...that's pretty cool.

There is also online play! Too bad it doesn't WORK!

That's it. And to keep the topic alive somehow, do you own any games that YOU REGRET?

I thought you didnt like it? I enjoy RISK quite a bit actually, it'd be nice if they had an online game of risk but I have yet to find one

I like the classic risk, not the risk that uses generals and all thet junk, waste of time

Yeah, I didn't' like it, but multiplayer without computers would've changed my mind.

I need an online Risk as well.

I think there was a version of it back in the Sega Genesis days which I liked a lot.

I play an online game called Kdice which is like a stripped-down version of Risk, on speed and riddilin. Beware: it can get addictive!

I wish there were games like this for the DS. I'll have to make do with Phoenix Wright and My French Coach in the meantime.

If you want a real army building, nation governing, war fighting experience I suggest Master of Orion, or Superpower. They're both on PC, though, and will probably never make a leap to consoles.

Usually if I regret buying a game it's not because it's a crappy game, it's because I bought it while trying to play through another game and never got around to playing it much, if at all.

I don't regret getting anything. Although sometimes I find myself thinking "maybe if I didn't spend 30 bucks on ICON I could pick up one of the games that are far better".

Never understood the allure of video game adaptations of board games. ****, get your friends together for a game of Risk.
