I picked up a copy today. I am suprised to not see a topic about it already.

Man, it is fun to blast zombies. I have heard that the zapper isn't worth it for this game. I have found no problems just using the regular setup.

I just wish RE2 was in it. But there is some RE2 sidestories to make up for it. But the lack of Code Veronica is another sad ommition. And they still say corny lines.


I would defintally suggest picking it up.

That's actually a major reason - aside from the lukewarm reception across gaming sites - I hesitate to get this.

RE2 is the best of the "classic" RE series.

Maybe they took out RE2 because there possibly making a RE2 remake RE4 style.

RE2 isnt in it because Umbrella Chronicles is focused on the STARS team members.

If you can call that a great follow up to RE2.

It was a great game on its own but it could've starred new guys and you wouldn't know the difference even if they kept all the dialog the same.

Well if you'd been following the advancements of Leon through the prologue of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, Survivor, and Code: Veronica you'd know that Leon was perfect for 4.

Oh, and Code: Veronica stars Claire, so...

All I know about Leon after RE2/before RE4 is his little RE3 epilogue.

Which I don't remember.

Also, RE0 is sooooo weak.

Well if you'd been following the advancements of Leon through the prologue of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, Survivor, and Code: Veronica you'd know that Leon was perfect for 4.

RE3: Leon has Sherry, some agents come for her, you don't know his answer to them but he stands in their way.

RE Survivor: Ark remembers that he was sent to Sheena Island by Leon who is starting a sort of anti-umbrella organization.

RE:CV: Claire sends Leon an e-mail. That's it.

I guess vaguely that's enough to make him fit in, but you could still have a new guy do it and it wouldn't really change anything. Where he gets noticed by the actual government and what happens with Krauser is what is fuzzy for me.

I also really liked Survivor for some reason.

Well, you kinda do know his answer now, don't you?

Also, what about the fact that Outbreak takes place during the RE2 time line and you play in places from 2 (The Umbrella lab)? And in Outbreak 2 you're back in the precinct? Heck, you even get more insight to that guy who locked himself into the office (Marv was it?).


I'm just saying, that was kind of a blanket statement with little validity.
