Blades of Glory, I Robot, James Bond, Halloween...But there's nothing I love more than watching for product placement in movies than doing it while drinking a nice refreshing Coca Cola.

holy ****, me and my best friend just had a huge discussion on this. i cant even remember what movie it was that was so brutal that we just couldnt watch it for the endless amounts of product advertising in it (the movie itself sucked though).Originally posted by Duelexpert View Post

Pretty much every movie I've ever seen has product placement of some sort.
It can be good when it gives you a real sense of setting or adds to the plot itself.
But it downright sucks when the whole reason for the work is an orgy of product placement.

seriously though, the only "good" (as in, neutral) product placement is the type that...isnt. the director or actor or prop guy enjoys brand x cola, a chacter is drinking a soda in a scene, so they use brand x. not "someone drinks coke, where before there was no soda, because coke paid us 2 million dollars"
