So I got a job today, and that means I'ma be getting money. I've been thinking a lot about a PSP - my MP3 player is crap, and there are a few great games I want. I want some pavvie opinion on this. Do you PSP owners think it's worth it? What color smudges the least and would be best? Are the Daxter or Battlefront bundles worth it? What good games are out or coming out? (Excluding DnD Tactics and War of the Lions.)

Re: PSP?
I think it's worth it. I love my PSP.
all the colors smudge the same, the black version just shows them the worst. biggest problem will be scratches, so make sure you get a screen protector. I dunno what sony uses for their faceplates, but it's a very fragile type of plastic that can be scratched just by dust rubbing against it.
if you get a bundle, I'd reccomend the daxter bundle. not only is it the only way to get a silver PSP right now (that doesnt show smudges easily), but it has a 1GB memory stick included. the star wars bundle has no memory stick.
not that many more games are on their way during the rest of the year, but there's a bunch of good stuff already out. The megaman titles are must-haves in my opinion, along with castlevania: dracula x chronicles. if you're into the series, the burnout games on PSP are really damn good too.Last edited by Valkysas; 11-11-2007, 11:00 PM.

Re: PSP?
I bought one a long while ago. Barely ever play it. That's not to say it's sucks though, I'm just busy with other things and don't have time to persue any good games for it.
That being said the Final Fantasy Tactics remake is a good idea, and I'd also highly recommend Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth. You can barely find the original for a good price anymore, and the remake is a faithful transition, I would heartily recomend it.
Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core is coming out sometime in the future, so if that's your kind of thing you might want to keep that in your radar, as well as Advent Children (which is also on DVD), which is out now.
I'm sure there are many other great games for the PSP, but like I said before, I just haven't been able to experience many of them. I bought The Legend of Heroes to be somewhat dissapointed, although others will argue it's a great series. I have not personally played it, but the Monster Hunter games for the PSP are quite popular, so that might be an interest.
As for smudging, the white PSP lite (or whatever it's called) is said to not smudge as much, and I will admit my regular black PSP smudges like crazy.
As for MP3's, I don't really use it for music, as I have a iPod, but it works just as good as any other MP3 player, and it can play movies and store pictures as well.
All in all it's a pretty amazing handheld system. Whatever you buy for it I hope you enjoy it

Re: PSP?
I thought there was a way to copy DVDs onto memory cards? As long as you don't sell the memory cards or the copy of the DVD and only use it for your own use I don't think it's illegal.Originally posted by Valkysas View Postnot legally.
But the point still stands that your not supposed to do it, no matter how much it is your right to be able to copy DVDs for your own use.
