    Questions

Ok I have a couple questions
and please explain how you do them if you can

    1.Can you make cheat codes
    2.Can you have maps
3.Can you have a battle animation while not in battle
4.Can you make a landforms in field editor with holes in them

I have had problems with these while creating my other 2 games
it still eludes me how to do these (if you can)

    Re: Questions

    1) Not in the traditional sense, but you could probably do cheat codes in a slightly unorthodox, and probably cumbersome, way. Perhaps by talking to some NPCs all standing in a line in a certain order. When you talk to the right person you switch the mode of the next person that is correct. If you talk to the wrong person it switches the mode of all the others to their first mode.

    2) Like mini-maps? Or map items? No, unfortunately.

    3) No (I think)

    4) Yes, you can put a hole anywhere. Just draw water where the hole goes. Or you could make a dramatic drop in elevation to a point just above the walkable elevation (some claim that this is 1, but in my experience it is 80).

        More ideas...

        1- CHEAT CODE
Use Ceciroth's idea: (click on the link below)
        http://www.pavilionboards.com/forum/...35&postcount=1

        2- CREATING A MAP

The Storm Weaver is right about the game not automatically making a mini map for you as an item or to display while walking around. However, you could always use the the storyteller to draw a map using keyboard characters, like:
        N
        -----------------^^^^^^^^^^^^^
        TOWN#####-----^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
        ------------#----------------####CAVE-A----
        -------------#####---------#-------^^^^^
        CAVE-B#####-----#######--------^^^^
        -------------#---------------^^^^^^^^^^^
        -------------#------------^^^^^^^^^^^^
        ----------CASTLE-----^^^^^^^^^^

        Then just have a key:
        # = path
        - = land
        ^ = water
        etc.

Remember that you can have up to 384 characters per map page, and if you use the smallest font, nine lines are displayed at one time.

4- CREATING A WALL WITH A HOLE IN IT.

You can make a wall exactly like this on a field(using decorative events):

        000
        000
        0
        x0
        ggg

In the Layout editor, select your field.
Create three decorative events side by side using the Outside decoration called "Quarry Stone".

That will be the bottom level of the wall

        000
        ggg

Raise the middle Stone to the height of 2.00

        Now you have this

        -0
        0x0
        ggg
Copy the lower left stone and raise that copy to 2.00. Copy the lower right stone and raise that copy to 2.00.

        Now you have this

        000
        0x0
        ggg

Copy each of the top three stones and raise the copies to 4.00.

        Then you have

        000
        000

        0x0
        ggg

The space is just the right height to walk through without any problem.

OH, I see. I didn't understand what he meant. I thought he was talking about making a hole in the ground.
