    Airship, Possible?

I have been wondering about this for a while now and want to have one in my game. I know it will work for a dungeon and put elevators in it to make it seem advanced, but I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to make it appear on a map? Has anyone accomplished this before? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

And I'm sorrry if this has already been discussed.

I put a bunch of of the largest buildings together to create ships in my upcoming Sci-fi game, The God Gene. I even used the trick that puts the player and the objects outside the boarders of a town in order make the ships appear in the sky (or in space). This is how I set up my spaceship battle minigame.

I wish I could show you exactly what it looks like (it looks pretty damn awesome, though--not to be tooting my own horn) but my digital camera is missing so I can't post screens. But anyways, if you focus on using the wooden buildings (as well as the Windmill object for propellers) instead of the towers and things that make up my game's ships, you should be able to get what you want out of it.

And yes, I am using the same idea for airship interiors as you are; that's actually where I came up with the elevator trick

That is a really good idea, but I was thinking more on a map. The town trick wouldn't work with the story, but now I want to play around with it more.

I've been messing around with it all day I think I have come up with something That will look cool. As you can see in my sig there is huge walls around the boarder of the map. (Part of the story) If you use objects on the field you can raise and lower them as I'm sure you know. Well I use the large square rocks and raise them as high as they go. I placed them on top of the walls. I used like five or so rocks and some other things to make it look nice. You can clearly see that it is elevated and it looks pretty good.

You can't see it in the screen, but there is a building near the wall called the Histalla Lab. I placed the ship near it. My plan is when you reach the right part of the field pointing at it you'll trigger an event. You engage in a conversation then the ship starts to make sounds and flash. I then turn the thin piller of light on. Making sure the botton is hitting the lab and the top appears to be coming from the ship. Then I turn on some smoke that will surround the lab so it seems destroyed.

The part of the beam coming down is just theory, but I'm sure it will work. The ship already is up and looks good... Enough. Because it's so high up it's hard to see detail, but you can get the overall shape and tell what it is. This plays in my favor.

If anyone else has an idea please share.
