I was really appreciating the effort you put into "me" until this thread. You made a few mistakes. First, I LOVE ellipses. I overuse them. I use them in posts, I use them on IM, I use them everywhere, except when I'm actually "writing." So that's the first strike against you. Also, I've only neg repped probably 4-5 times since I've been here.

My thoughts on the Perversion Man costume:
Damn, I feel like I have a message board stalker or something. Besides the few slight errors you made in this thread, everything else was spot-on. You got the "no sleep" thing, the "wall of text directed at nobody" thing, and even included the lyrics to Perversion by Stereolab, where I got my name from. You mentioned strategy RPGs. You made reference to rep. You made reference to a number of things in the PG that I've talked about.
All I can say is, spot-on, mate.
My only question is why you only "played" as Postulate Man once, when you posted his picture.
Also, your costume account would have been infinitely better had you named yourself Pervulate Man.

On the other hand, just because someone who's very bad like Hayashida seems a little kind, people will think, "Oh, Hayashida is actually a pretty nice guy. People have illusions like that all the time. I think that's probably why most of us seemed so petulant.

In summary, a person's everyday image influences the judgment of others quite a bit. Moreover, the more a person's actions differ from the everyday image, the stronger the impression becomes.

How's that? If a person who is always angry becomes angry, it's not that scary. But if someone who usually doesn't get angry loses it once in a while, it's very scary, isn't it?
Indeed, it could be the case that we have become more pedantic and petulant with age, but what of it? Without change, there is no progress.
For example, it sometimes happens that a girl who is otherwise very serious suddenly dyes her hair just as summer vacation ends, right? And people start whispering and gossiping amongst each other and stuff, right? That she did something with such and such a person. That's no good. But neither can you ignore it. Then she would just feel lonely. It'd look like you're treating her as an outsider.
I'm sure planning such a big change in image means that she has some level of assertiveness and preparedness. In a sense, she's a challenger! I'd like to cheer on such a challenger from the bottom of my heart!
