So I got it yesterday for PS3, and I mean, it's been worth it so far. $100 bucks is a large portion of my budget, but I've been having fun.
Anyway, tonight, me and my roommate are acting like idiots. We're playing on medium so we can flail around with the guitar (it's wireless, why not?) and not worry about accuracy so much. Well, since it's wireless, I decided some guitar flips around the back were necessary. The first two or three were kinda cool, it was fun to be a jackass with a guitar controller.
But then, right before a chorus in Miss Murder, I throw it a little too hard around the shoulder and it breaks free from the strap. All I heard was a crash on the wall behind me, and then I turned to see it hit the floor. Hard. I pick it up, and the whammy bar is rattling like a ***** inside the body. I am crushed. I've only had it two days and it sounds demolished.
Not wanting to give up, despite having a midterm tomorrow, I take the guitar into my room. I don't have a screwdriver that will fit the holes, so I find a pair of scissors that do the job. I take the thing apart (voiding my warranty
) to find all the whammy bar parts just kinda floating around inside.
I spent an entire hour tinkering, but I finally got it back together. Part of the plastic was a tiny bit chipped, but it doesn't affect the performance at all. Despite deserving douchebag of the year award for thinking swinging a guitar around my back was a good idea, I am so proud of myself for fixing it. Thank the God of Rock.
