It is awesome when an artist has some distinguishing factors.
This one interests me.
Are all of yours like this?
Yeah, pretty much. Thanks for the comments though, and thanks to everybody else, as well.
Yeah, I agree. The background looks like a computer afterthought, and that's just what it was. oh well, I was experimenting with that for the first time with this drawing.Originally posted by Smurtle View PostYeah that's pretty good, but the gradient background looks silly.

Re: The Wicker Man
It feels like it came out of some fantastic, fanciful, ephemeral, and at the same time slightly nightmarish, dream. And I really like it!
It's a great example of how art doesn't need to be "pleasant" in order to be beautiful and meaningful. Your use of shape, color, and depth... they're just so amazingly dissonant. And unlike some artists who just fling crap against the wall and hope people make some meaning out of it, I think it's obvious that every bit of this dissonance was masterfully planned, in true artistic fashion.
Like some of your other artwork, it just gives me a sense of inspiration, frustration, and most of all awe. Really nice job with this, my friend.
