Yup, we got our official store demo of Mario Galaxy today! Except it's not a demo... it's the FULL GAME. Yeah, this is huge. Anyways, my thoughts?
It's Mario 64's brother, father, and best friend all rolled into one. They tread on some new ground with highly cinematic cut scenes, voice acting, and new abilities (I could only try the bee suit in the time I had), but it's so.... old school. There's a little room in the first system where you hit a ! block and music notes appear in a line leading to a 1-UP, except every note you hit plays a note of the World 1-2 theme from SMB! Yeah, it's that cool. The game's fluid, intuitive, and you're always busy doing something. The pointing and shooting feel incredibly natural, as do the spins and ground pounds. Anyways, I'll try and add later, but as far as I'm concerned this is THE system seller.
