    Animal Crossing MMO Confirmed?

Does anybody still play Animal Crossing regularly, either on GameCube or DS? i haven't played it in a long time. I recently deleted my town planning to trade it in along with a couple other DS games but I'm not sure I have the heart to get rid of it. Even though I long since lost the motivation to play daily or regularly at all, whenever I did turn it on I still enjoyed it. Even though I can't really understand why pulling weeds and reading the same conversations over and over was fun.

Anyway, the rumors of AC for Wii being some type of MMO have got me interested in the franchise again. Do you think it'll go the MMO route, do you think that would even work?

Here's the way I envision it, you'd have your suburb just like the GC or DS towns to play offline and there'd be a big city online, basically representing the server lobby. It'd have mostly the same things in the towns but more and bigger and with hundreds or thousands of other people around. People on your friend list can come into your town whenever the gates are open, but you can also invite new people you meet in the city to your town or vice versa.

The city could have a mall with a huge Nook's where you can get promo items and most requested furniture. An Able Sisters' with the top patterns from the community. An auction house. An arcade where you can play some classic games, maybe trial versions of games on VC. A museum where people can show off art they've created in their own museum. Special holiday events and tournaments. Lots of possiblities.

I only turn on the DS version these days to see how much money I've accumilated in the bank. I have several million bells, and nothing to spend them on. my town is full of weeds and people I hate. there's no reason to play it.

I haven't touched my DS version in months. It died for me, but I'm definitely interested in the Wii version especially if it ends up being an MMO.

I just got a used copy of AC for the DS a few weeks ago. I played the GC version, but got bored with it after a while. At least I can connect with other people via wifi now. My town flag features a stern looking Harry Mason.

I'd be interested in a Wii version. I like all the ideas you suggested, Chuck.

AC was the first game I ever fell asleep on while playing. And this was in the middle of the day just to let you know.

The last time I played my DS Animal Crossing was when I went to your town, chuck. And that was more than a year ago.

                  5. Drug Dealer

                    Re: Animal Crossing

I used to play it, but my commitment to the game, as well as my town, deteriorated over time. And a lot of my animal residents were really rude *****es. Those are the ones I hit with my bug net.

I get back into it now and then. It's fun, but I have WAY too much stuff. My house can't hold it all, so I just put it on the pavement outside.

Just use another house to store it... all your stuff outside will end up in the dump.

If it's the DS version you only get one house. And you can't drop things into your neighbor's houses. But you can create roommates and each will get their own closet space to keep things in.

Most AC residents like to belittle you in a friendly way.

"Oh wow! Thanks for the couch, friend! Even though you don't seem to have any ounce of intelligence, I consider you family!"
