Okay, I am about to come into a decent amount of money and i have been thinking about investing it into a new system. I already own a Wii so that is out of the question. I am stuck though. 360 or PS3??

360 looks like it has some ridiculous awesome (and more adult) themed games.
I have been craving something along these lines since I got a Wii since there are no more mature games for it other than RE4. Plus the 360 and the games altogether will not be as much as a PS3!

On the other hand i have a cousin who got a PS3 and he loves it! The games to come on that system are deff. something to look forward to. But I haven't seen much I really want to play on this system yet. And the price is stupid.

I would really appreciate everyones POV on this. Just give me some up and downside to the systems/games or just tell me some stuff that will sway me.

I asked something similar not too long ago.

I would go with the 360 because you could find a crap load of used games for it, and as far as I know the titles are on par with Sony's.

I'm not really into the online features, so they aren't a factor for me.

My preference is 360, but you should go with whatever has the games you're most interested in.

Well i am actually thinking 360... because of Eternal Sonata and BioShock but i know that there will be games for the PS3 that i will want later on... Which one do you think will break down on me the least?

Any system is fine. You'll be happy with whatever decision you'll make.

If you decide to get PS3, obviously invest in the 60GB--it is the best model PS3 you can get. Ratchet and Clank should be due out very soon (if not out now!) so that's a game I'd pick up. Other recommends from me are Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Warhawk, Resistance and Folklore.

If you get 360, go Elite if you can. Those are less likely to break down, I think. Plus the black color makes it all bad-ass like. You can make your friends green with envy. (Unless they have Elites.) And if you like FPSes, welcome to heaven. 360's got a great library of those including Halo 3 and Gears of War.

I think Gears of War MIGHT be a third person shooter.

I'm on my third one, and planned on selling it after mass effect. It's starting to die however so I may not get that chance.
