    Southern California

I don't know who else lives near me, but man this is nasty.

I live in Vista right between the two fires and far away enough from both that the fires would have to go through more than a city each for me to get evacuated.

But it is so smokey and ashey. I woke up and it's all yellow outside and hard to breath. It doesn't look like this is going to be over anytime soon. This is my first time in the middle of any kind of catastrophe, and I have to say everyone is pretty calm. At least everyone I've seen.

I got sent home from work after one hour yesterday morning (like most people), and I played through the entire volcano dungeon in Dark Cloud 2. Hopefully the power stays on, so I can keep on truckin through that game.

i hear the fire is pretty out of control down there, i think winds or something was keeping it fast moving.

It's hard for me to be all that sympathetic to the mudslides and forest fires year after year when developers ignored that factor when the built there originally. Well maybe sympathetic is the wrong word, but I don't think anyone should be shocked when it happens.

I feel the same way when people keep rebuilding in tornado prone areas.

You can go without television and get news. Especially big firey news. Turn on your radio, read a newspaper, internet

I get my news from the TV on the bus that has news stories, "extreme sports" programs, "urban entertainment news," trivia, and Hispanic programs.

I think I'm about the only person who rides the bus who actually pays attention to the TVs. Now if only they had saved the money that it cost to install those and stream the content, maybe we wouldn't be getting route cuts and increased fares.

I can smell the ashes, and the skies are literally crimson orange. This is the worst brush fire California's ever suffered. So many people have lost their homes, and are staying at shelters.

The one thing the firefighters need right now is for the winds to die down, which is expected to happen tomorrow.

I just found out about this like five minutes ago. My mom is watching a special on it and the only reason I noticed it was because they were showing a family going through their burnt house and the kid found his burnt up guitar hero guitar. I sat down for a second or two and man it's bad down there. I feel for you all.

It's very, very bad. I didn't realize just how bad it was until I saw how much the fire had actually spread. Firefighters are really stretched thin at this point, helpless to even stop its progress. Our best bet now is to wait for our promised reenforcements and the weather to cooperate.

Arnold demanded reinforcements from other states. But the other states said they won't send any because he 'demanded' them.

So he said, "**** all of you! I will destroy these fires myself. I am the terminator! And after these fires I am coming after you. And I won't stop coming. No one can stop my coming!

But, anyways, the air is awful around here. The winds have died down. So I guess we are just sitting this out now. I am currently replaying Zelda:TP and going through Godhand with a friend.
