    Skunks

I hate these things, anyone know how to get rid of them? They eat my neighbors cat food and let out some killer SBD's while theyre chowing down...

The neighbors refuse to take the cat food in, and the SPCA refuses to do anything

Here I come Pav, like the Kool-Aid man barging into a funeral! Oh yeah!

I dunno, dude. The only skunk I've seen is of the road pizza variety. Man... that has got to suck. I don't think stinking them out would work, here. Now, if you start having an annoying roommate investastion go for the stench.

Yeah I wouldnt know how to get rid of them, trapping is out of the question unless its airtight when it shuts and they suffocate on their own stench

I used to have a friedn who had a family of them living under his house. His entire place, and clothes smelled like skunk. Our asshole 4th grade teacher tiold his parents to not let him come to class until he they could get rid of the smell, but he still came anyway.

I think his dad ended up shooting them, after poison failed, and their dogs got sprayed several times by them. But we both lived on farms, so it wasn't like we had nosy neighbors peeking over the fence and ratting on gun fire going on, like you suburban kids.

            Re: Skunks

If it's from a distance, I actually quite enjoy the smell of skunk. I'm serious.

If I was to be sprayed by one, though, I don't think I'd enjoy it too much, and would end up having to take a bath in tomato juice.

Once, when I used to live out in the country, a skunk crossed the road no more than 4-5 feet from me (I was walking). It turned its head, looked at me, and kept walking. I waited for about a minute until I thought it was probably safe, and continued walking up the gravel road.

I think we have them around our area... Not alot of them though. ( I live in the counttry, sorounded by pasture. ). We defitinally have foxes. Walking down our driveway ( Kilometer long ). Some little fox will run across the road, the dogs will just take off and follow.

Anyways: Trap is probally the best idea. Talk to the Fish And Wildlife and ask to borrow a Skunk trap. Then you'd probally want a truck for once you catch him so you can leave him in the truck box, and realease him into the wildlife.

                  Re: Skunks

I dunno about the cat food, but we douse our garbage with vinegar and used coffee grounds.
The smell keeps all the cat's, raccoons and I suppose skunks too, out of the trash.

We live at the city limits so there is a real feline/rodent problem here.

These semi-newbies need to quit changing their names...it's hard enough for me to figure out who is who and place an identity to a person, and then they go and change their names.

So Mopar...you used to be Demonic Wyvern, right? Weren't you something else before that? Honestly, you change your name so often that I kinda have a hard time trying to keep track of what you're posting, and a hard time remembering anything you've said.

                    *shrug*

EDIT:That goes for you, too, Seraphim, but at least you still have the same avatar, and have Max Power as your title, so it's easier to remember you.

Well, if you really want me to...I'm not pointing out a "fault"...merely saying it's hard to keep track of people when they change their names.
