My power has gone out three times so far today.

Thankfully I got my PSP and DS to keep me busy if the power goes out for a while.

Well I guess at least a power line hasn't caused an arcing with sparks and started a fire there yet. Or something like that. Well stay safe. Didn't realize places had windy seasons like that. Learn something new everyday I guess.

We usually get a lot of fires around the area. Lots of hills, so plenty of dried up plants and such now. In fact, it doesn't even surprise me when a fire happens, i'm just glad I don't live directly next to fire hazards.

I wish I had pictures a few years back when it was really bad. Huge fire at the north of the city I live in, the freeway in the area had to be closed, and basically most of the city was covered in ash.

I tell ya, Gou, we Californians have bad weather blues.

Excessive rain storms, cancer-inducing sunlight, skin-melting heatwaves in the summer, powerful high winds.....

On top of that, California is Earthquake country. I have to listen to people prophesize about the coming of "the BIG ONE".

You left out the monster forest fires which become too big for all the fire departments in the area to isolate.

Funny you should mention that because we've got a huge brushfire happening in Malibu right now. It'll burn for at least three days.

Yeah California fires suck. There have been a lot lately. There was a ddecent sized brush fire behind my apartment at Cal Poly about a week ago, and now this one in Malibu. What parts of California are you guys from (Misty and Gou)?
