Eye of Judgement

Now this is an innovative game. I've been looking into this and find it really interesting.

It comes with something called the Eye, which is somewhat similar to the Eye Toy for the PS2, that you use to scan game cards (that you purchase just like Magic the Gathering or Yu-Gi-Oh) and watch them come alive on your television.
Or something like that.

I don't know if this game will have much impact with PS3 owners, but it's looking very intriguing. Anybody plan on getting this? It comes out sometime next week.

Tycho at Penny Arcade has been harping about it for months. I'm betting a lot of gamers even know about it because of him.

If they can make this game popular enough that there's a well established in-person and online community playing it then it'll have been a success. But if either half doesn't catch on then they could've just as well gone the traditional route.

This is sort of like a next-gen Yu-Gi-Oh type battling card game, right? I like how you can periodically buy packs of trading cards to use in the game. Reminds me a lot like the E-Card Readers Nintendo used for their GBAs.

Hopefully they sell the game separately. My Vision Camera for the 360 was working just fine when testing it out on the PS3's options.

Yeah, i'm interested in it, especially, since the tech is there for other Card games, we could possibly see a Magic version of the game. I would only hope that it uses existing cards, instead of having to buy all new decks, I really want to use my patented "Winged Justice" deck.

I've beat even a couple of hardcore players with it, and it doesnt have many rare cards.

Well it couldn't be existing cards, unless you want to draw on all the card reading symbols with permenant marker.
