I downloaded Every Extend Extra Extreme last night at about 3 in the morning, and played it on and off until 4 pm the next day (which kind of sucked, because I had been up since 10 pm, and had to work a 9-10 hour overnight, which I just got home from just now). So 2 hours of sleep in 36 hours. Yay! That's the main thing (for me) about the game...it's addictive as hell.
And the best part (assuming you own some "beat-driven" music) is that there is a mode to analyze any song you feed it (up to 8 minutes long), and then you have to determine the BPM. Once that's set, you can use the song in the game, and EVERYTHING in the game goes to the beat of the music, including controller vibration. It is SO bad ass. And it's only 800 points, which I think is pretty good, as it has more features than the PSP version, which costs more. Also, you have the capability of storing up to 1000 of your own songs.
I don't know if the game is really easy or something, but within the first day, and having never played it before, on one of my games using my own music, I managed to place at 455 or something on the leaderboards with something like 33 trillion points (maybe it's more...there were so many digits, it was kind of hard to tell what my score actually was).
I've yet to play a game by Tetsuya Mizuguchi's Q? Entertainment that I've not liked. I mean, you've got Space Channel 5 (even though I think that was probably made before he started his own studio), Meteos, Rez, Every Extend Extra, and Lumines....and I've yet to play their version of Gunpey.
Anyway, anyone else planning on getting this? I think I've found a game to replace Geometry Wars, at least for me.
