Re: What the PS3 is good for...
The 12 games that i own would obviously disagree with that.
And the amount of quality games coming before the end of the year, and in 2008 will disagree as well.
But on the topic, i think that is a pretty cool thing, but trust me, topics that show that the PS3 is anything but crap rarely end well, here, or anywhere else.Vita, 3DS, PSP, PS3, PC, WiiU, Wii & 360
Intel Core i5, Radeon HD 5870, 8gig ram
Anticipating: Warriors Lair, Dragon Crown, Ratchet, Xillia, Rune Factory 4, and more!

Re: What the PS3 is good for...
It's certainly what the PS3 is good AT.
Between this and folding at home the PS3 is certainly a great thing for science, now if people can be convinced that it's not just 1/8 of a supercomputer with a blu-ray player.
The same way that the 360 is great for anger management classes (By learning not to kick it across the room when you get the RRoD) and the Wii is a great workout device (But only when you play tennis or boxing).Obviously, it's not for gaming, right?

Re: What the PS3 is good for...
eh, I just think of it this way:
while the 360 has a bunch of great exclusive games, a big chunk of it's userbase cannot play them because their 360 is either malfunctioning, in the mail, or at a repair center.
meanwhile, I have that same privelage, without ever having to buy an Xbox 360. many Xbox 360 owners have the same ability to play 360 games as someone who doesnt own the system.
meanwhile, there aren't any exclusive games for the PS3 worth playing right now (in my opinion), but there ARE good games on the system, even if most are multiplatform. the big upside is that you can actually play them whenever you want to without fear of your console suddenly dying.Last edited by Valkysas; 10-18-2007, 03:24 PM.

You keep on saying that when you actually get one. You know you will.Originally posted by Valkysas View Posteh, I just think of it this way:

I've had one for almost two years now, never went to the repair shop.
